Rachel's Cards and Crafts

Hi all sorry I haven’t blogged for a bit but back again to share with you a creation I have made this week. It’s a Memory Wire Bracelet and coordinating gift box. I have used Rhinestone Beads, 6mm AB Crystal Bicones, 4mm silver pearls, Turquoise Silverlined disk and round beads, and shamballa heart beads on the pendants. I love memeory wire bracelets as they can be universal size to fit a range of wrist sizes. This bracelet is very sparkly in real life. I just love it.   Here’s the coordinating gift box. The base of the box has been made using the Crafter’s Companion Boxer Board for the Ultimate Pro and Centura Pearl Snow White Card stock. The flower was made using the Large and Small Rose, and leaf 1 Die’sire Dies from Crafter’s Companion. I embossed some Core’dinations cardstock using the a4 Embossing Folder which was inclusive with the Ebosser. I then cut two large rose and two small rose pieces from this, then used the sand it gadget to distress the embossing. Aft...

Hi all I just wanted to share with you a few pieces of jewellery I have made recently and some not so recent. I have been a naughty blogger and not shared them with you but I am now. The first one is a peanut spiral. This is made using peanut beads, size 8 seed beads and Accent beads. I have used fireline 8lb crystal as my stringing medium and finished with a bar clasp. This is so quick to make and so effective.   The next is a pearly spiral. I must admit I made this all the way back in November!!! How naughty. This is made using size 11 seed beads, 4mm crystals and pearls. Again I have used fireline 8lb but in smoke this time. I have used wire protectors and a fancy bar clasp to finish.   This next one is a variation of the pearly spiral however I have used 4mm cube beads instead of the pearls and crystals and size 9 seed beads. This is the necklace, earings and memory wire bracelet I made at the Craftaganza using the Knotted Cord and Memory Wire Kit from Beaders Companion . You cn get this Kit in Teal (mine), Purple (which I also have but haven't made yet!!), Brown and Green. Sorry the picture's not the best. I didn't have a display bust. This Kit is excellent to use and the beads are wonderful, each bead is hand made, and has been hand picked from India when Sarah and Sara had a trip ove there. The kit gives excellent instructions as to how you can make the projects. But as we found out at the Craftaganza everyone can make different and unique projects.
