Molly Bloom Christmas

Hi all

I bet you thought I had vanished. Sorry for not blogging. As some of you may be aware I have not been myself of late and finding things a bit difficult. Well I have been trying to take my mind off it and have made this Christmas card today. I have used a Molly Bloom stamped image. I must admit I started to colour this image back in October but only got the hat coloured. I completed the colouring today using my Spectrum Noir Pens from Crafter’s Companion. I stamped onto Neenah Card Stock with Memento ink. I am pleased with the way the colouring has turned out. Practice and advice from wonderful people like Leann Chiver’s, Marcea Watkins, Louise Welsh and Co. has certainly helped improve my colouring technique.

Here’s the card

I have used the following products to complete my card

Crafter’s Companion Neenah Card Stock

Crafter’s Companion Spectrum Noir

Molly Bloom Jolly Snowman Stamp

Lili of the Valley Set 8 happy Circular Stamps

WOW Black Glint Embossing Powder

Lili of the Valley Classic Christmas Paper Pad

Roy G. Biv Core’dinations Cardstock

Large Gold Ponsettia

Stickles Glitter Glue:- Star dust, Diamond and Platinum

Fired Brick Distress ink

8x8 Scalloped card Blank

Ribbon Box Ribbon

Grand Scalloped Circles Nestabilities

Hope you are all well

Hugs and Take care

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel
