Beading Time

This is the necklace, earings and memory wire bracelet I made at the Craftaganza using the Knotted Cord and Memory Wire Kit from Beaders Companion. You cn get this Kit in Teal (mine), Purple (which I also have but haven't made yet!!), Brown and Green.

Sorry the picture's not the best. I didn't have a display bust.

This Kit is excellent to use and the beads are wonderful, each bead is hand made, and has been hand picked from India when Sarah and Sara had a trip ove there. The kit gives excellent instructions as to how you can make the projects. But as we found out at the Craftaganza everyone can make different and unique projects.

Hope you like it and why not pop over to Beader's Companion to have a look at all of the lovely beads.

Happy Crafting

Rachel

Cute Companions Hanging Bauble Side Stepper

For this card I have made a stepper card for the base. I have printed a backing paper from the Cute Companions Christmas Collection CD. I have matted this onto some blue card onto each of the sections rounding the corners. I stamped one of the bauble images and coloured using copics. I then cut oit out using a nestie and sprayed with spray and sparkle and spray and shine to give a glass like look. I matted this onto a silver nesie shape and before sticking the panel don attached some ribbon to the back. The bauble hangs loose. I finished off with a ribbon bow. I have also added a snowflake gain created on the cuttlebug and added a jewelled brad. I have attached a couple of sentiments to the card.

Were Walking In the Air!!!

Here's a few Snowman cards I made in September using My Crafter's Companion Snowman and Walking in the air CD's. Just didn't get round to blogging.

For this first card I have used a Papermania Scalloped edge 8x8" base card. I have matted a BP from the Snowman CD onto some Mirror card. The topper is printed onto some whiten linen card and I have matted this onto some teal blue card stock. The image has be decoupaged and I have added some irredesent spray and sparkle. I have finished the card with some ribbon, snoflakes and a peel off greeting.

Again for this card I have used a papermania scalloped edge card base. Matted the packing paper onto some teal car and then mirror card. I have rounded each of these corners with my corner punch. Again the snowman is printed onto some linen card and then decoupaged up. I have matted this onto teal card again and added stickles gliter to The Snowman. I have created a snowflake usinng my cuttlebug with silver mirror and white card. I have attched a silver gem brad to this. A peel off greeting finishes the card.

This next card I have used a backing paper from the CD and matted this onto some silver mirror card. I have stamped the snow man image onto the card and ran this through my cuttlebug and created the nestie shape. I have added some stickles glitter to this. I have stamped a greeting which I also created a nestie shpe with. Ribbon bows and peeloffs have been added to this card also. I must say I do like the side stepper effect cards.

My final card in this post is an easel card. I have used a teal base card and folded into the easel shape. Then I have attached some backing paper to silver mirror card. I have printed onto linen card again and decoupaged the image. This is matted onto silver and teal card. The image was then sprayed with irredescent spray and sparkle. I have attached a greeting as the stoppper from the cd.

Candle Making Fun!!

Hi Today (well actually it was yesterday as it's now after midnight) I have been decorating some candles with various images which I printed onto tissue paper and then melted these onto the candle.  I have also decorated these with stickles and ribbon. These are for a stall we are having in the morning at Wansbeck Hospital raising funds for the Special Care Baby Unit.

Here's the first ones, I have used my Forever Friends CD from DoCrafts for these images.

These next Candles I have used the Flower Fairies Christmas Tree and Holly CD from Crafter's Companion.

These images are from the Rachael Hale CD Furry Friends by Joanna Sheen

The next four are from Debbi Moore's Glitter and Glitz  Magical CD

These images are from Crafter's Companion Walking in the Air Snowman CD

Random images from My Craft Studio CD's

Tatty Teddy Everyday CD from DoCrafts

Hope you like my candles, sorry some of the photos aren't the best as I had already cello wrapped some of the candles and the light was reflecting from the flash, as well as being artificial lighting in the room.

If anyone would like to purchase any candles please don't hesitate to contact me with any requirements you may have. All candles can be personalised as required.

LOTV 12 Days of Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which means over on Lilly of The Valley, the 12 days of Christmas event starts tomorrow!! So please do pop back here every day as there will be a give away each day for the next 12 days with an amazing grand prize up for grabs on the last day, you won't want to miss it!!

Making Christmas Cards with Sophie

My niece was looking at the card in my previous post and decided she wanted to make one for her Mammy for Christmas. She wanted a chirstmas tree so we looked through my Tatty Teddy CD and she choose one of the images. Next Sophie ran the individual sections through the Grand Calibur.

She then stuck the sections together.

Then here's her with the completed card.

The finished card

I think you will all agree she has done a grand job for being 3

SWALK Snowballing fun

Well I bet you all thought I had vanished off the face of the earth as I have been a naughty blogger again. I have been busy making Jewellery as well as having a change of Jobs so haven't had much chance for card making and now I am in a panic as I still have loads of christmas cards to make. Well here's christmas card number 20!! I will pop back sometime to upload cards 3-19 as so far this is only the 3rd christmas card I have posted. So here it is:

I have used my swalk Kisses from heavan stamp and coloured with promarkers and copics. I am quite pleased with the colouring but not 100% happy as I know one can achieve better colouring finishes after having had a play with Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion at the craftaganza this weekend. I must get these pens for my collection as it is much more cost effective than copics and promarkers and I love the fact they are in the colou sets so you get the colours that blend more effectively. I sometimes struggle to find the blends with the colours I own as I haven't got many pens.

I used my Grand Caliber and the Grand Big Scallop Circles dies to make this card. Aswell as my large circles die. The backing paper is from the SWALK Winter Cheer CD. I have added the ribbon bow and stickles from my stash. I think I may have over done the stickles though!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow with more christmas cards as I have 4 more days to myself for crafting!!!

I am entering this card into the Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge blog:
Challenge 18 - Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
