ABC DT Call

Well on the lookout for my next challenge I called onto the ABC blog and found that they are changing their challenges to fortnightly and also that the team are looking for new DT members to join them . This is what the info on their blog says: "Important news -From now on the ABC Challenge will be fortnightly. This week we are taking a break from the alphabet as we are holding a design team call. Unfortunately both Dawn and Cathy (whom help set up the challenge blog with Vicky) have stood down due to family commitments. I would like to thank them for the work they have put into the blog and also the wonderful cards they have produced for us. I hope that they will continue to join in the challenges and know that a place is here for them should they wish to rejoin the design team at any point. We are looking for new members for the team, if you would like to join please do the following: 1. Post about this on your blog and link it back. 2. Choose your 3 favourite cards and add the

VW Campervan Wedding

This is a card I have been asked to do for a wedding on Saturday. The happy couple are using VW Camper vans for their wedding transport. This is something very unique to me as hadn't heard of it but there is a company who specialises in this form of transport for special occassions. This is their website . I was asked to include pictures of the Camper vans on the card. Well I decided to make an A4 double pop out card. As you can see, I have used my cuttlebug to create the embossed pannels using my swiss dots folder and then I have used my nestabilities to house the images of the Camper Vans. I also was asked to include their names on the images of the Camper Vans. Paul is using the Red and White Van, and Sue the Cream one. Inside I have made heart shaped pop outs and from this hung wedding bells. I decorated the pop out section with gems for extra bling too. I used my nestabilities again for the greeting. I love using nestablilites as they just give the card something that bit spec

My First Winter Tales Card!!

This is what I have been working on this afternoon. I have used the magical Christmas scene and decoupaged it both in for and front view. As I decoupaged the roof tops scene I decided to make a 'box' to house it. I have added folower soft onto the rooftops and sky however the picture doesn't show this up very well. I stamped one of the mice from the last years collection and coloured with watercolour pencils. I have added a stamped greeting and ribbon to embellish also. The base card stock and box are made from gold embossed card and I have also used gold mirror card and a patterned paper from the cd. The inside I have decorated too with the matching insert. I am sure that this year i will be using this cd and stamps to make alot of my christmas cards. Hugs Rachel xx

75th Birthday Cards

For this next card I have used the Crad Creations Art Deco Cd. Thanks as usual for looking. Hugs Rachel xx

An xmas walk in wonderland and cosy 'n' warm!!

Well on Wednesday whilst watching Sara and Jane on Create and Craft I was inspired to make some Christmas cards using last years Christmas cute companions whilst I waited eagerly for my Cute Companions Walk in Wonderland Bumper pack to arrive!!! I made two lovely cards, which I must say I am really pleased with. This is the first one. I used the village scene, mounted this onto some silver mirror card and a silver pearl card. I then stamped some of the mice, the street lamp and two presents, then coloured these with watercolour pencils. I added some polar white flower soft and glamour dust to the village background, and then some additional glamour dust to the fur area's of the mouses coat. The next card I have used the fireside scene which has been decoupaged. Overall this card is 8x8" but has an a5 opening section. I have attached a panel on the left hand side consisting of gold mirror card, patterned paper and ribbon. I have then finished this card with a stamped greeting

A Few Wedding Cards

These next cards are from an order I did recently. However before I explain each card I must apologise for the quality of the photographs, my camera must have played up and did not realise until I had already delivered the cards to the customer. That will teach me for not loading the photos onto the computer beforehand. However I must say that the first picture didn't look like this on the preview screen of my camera, it seemed to go weird on uploading to the computer. I don't have the original photo either as my settings automatically erase the memory card once they are uploaded. Right then now that that's out of the way I will tell you a bit about the cards. This first one my outline was a 3d cake; colour theme of pink, white and black; and for a girly girl. Therefore I decided to do this 3d cake form Keepsakes by Design with my Craft Robo, and used my Cuttlebug to emboss it. The template also had the lovely lattice background which I cut from black pearl card. The pink i
