Rachel's Cards and Crafts

Well the next three cards are for an order. I was asked to make two brother and one uncle cards. I know that the gentleman in question is interested in DIY and cycling. I could not find an image which I was happy with for the cycling so I made one with the theme of DIY and the other two I was able to use my imagination. Well the DIY one I have used my Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit stamp and also the cd rom for the backing papers and. The card is A4 in size and has an a5 opening section on the front which holds the insert. I have had my first go at paper piecing for the rabbit and also used watercolour pencils and markers for the colouring. I have highlighted the 'paint' areas on the toppers with diamond glaze to make them appear wet. The 40 topper was made by colouring chipboard toppers with markers and then using embossing powders to give a gloss effect. This card I have used the Joanna Sheen Jayne Netley Mayhew cd rom. This is made using the cuddly buddly Wedding Teddies download and the coordinating paper dowload too. I have also used my cuttlebug to do the heart embossing panels and decorated with gems and ribbons. The text is made using word. In the wrap. Made using parcment and held closed with a magnetic fastner and ribbon.

This is a card I have made for the crafters companion sketch challenge this week #21. I am also going to enter it into a Competition a lady I know is hosting. For this competition we had to make a female birthday card. I have used the Crafters Companion Cute Companion cd rom for the paper, insert and paper ribbon strip. I used some white card stock for the base, pink and silver mirror board for matting and layering. The ribbons I have used are from dovecraft. To finish the card I have used craft creations peel offs.

Well I must say I am really pleased with how this card has turned out. It is my husbands anniversary card for our 2nd Anniversary on Tuesday 8th July. The card is A4 in size when closed and opens out to a gatefold popout card. I have used silver mirror card and pearl card as the base cards. Embossed the two front pannels with my hearts cuttlebug folder. The images are from the Cuddly Buddly True Love download and the papers are Cuddly Buddly Downloads Patchwork Pink and the Kids Paper Pack. I have made a pop out heart and edged this with silver heart peel off's. Then have attached two of the images into the hearts with ribbon so they hang loose. I also added ribbon to the front of the card before adding the mirror card so I could tie a bow. Thanks for looking. Hugs Rachel xx
