Time Traveler Father's Day

Hi All I'm back again with another make for you.  Another card made with Sheen Douglass's Time Traveler collection. This one I've made for my Dad for Father's Day. I have created a background with the clock stamp and coloured in using aqua pens and a gold pen. I the die cut one of the clock faces and a cog. These have been attached the the background over one of the clocks with a brad. I added some gold gilding wax onto the clock face before attaching. I have used a matt of black card and then attached this onto a square card base.  The image I coloured with my spectrum noir pencils. I then cut this out on my scan and cut and shaped and mounted onto the card with glue gel.  Thank very much for stopping by. Rachel

Mermaid Frame

Hello All I'm back again, This time to share a frame with you that I have created for my Niece.  The image was coloured in using my Spectrum Noir markers using the May 17 Markers Class from Kit and Clowder. This is the first one of their classes I've done and I was overall I was quite happy with it but I know a few areas where I could improve. Right then here's the coloured image.  The image is by Conie Fong and you can purchase them on Etsy. She has lots of other lovely images to choose from. Right then now for the completed frame. The frame started as a white frame which I painted with black gesso and then once dry added colour to it using dyna paints from pebeo and then some silver gilding wax. I then sprayed the frame to form a protective coating with Spray and Shine from Crafter's Companion.  I love how it have turned out and hope that my niece will too.  Right I'm going to enter this into the following challenges: ...

A few more cards

Hi all I'm back sharing a few more cards. Since my last post unfortunately I ended up with another hospital admission and this time it took me a little while before I felt well enough to be able to do some more crafting. The first two cards I made before being unwell last Monday and Tuesday (then I became unwell and didn't get posted) and then the final two I have made today.  Well here they are Card 1   This first card is another of the my bestie images I coloured and had to make into a card. I added a bit of sparkle onto it and some gem embellishments.    Card 2 This card features a Sheena Douglas stamp which I coloured with my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers. I'm pleased with how she turned out. The Backing is made from a CRafter's Companion Rose Embossing folder and I used the faux leather technique on it. Adding various distress inks and some gold guilding wax. Card 3 This card features one of the new Donna Ratcl...

Some crafty colouring relaxing

Hi all well I had a break from crafting the beginning of the year and I have been concentrating on a new healthy and active lifestyle so have been spending most of my spare time in the gym. I have also given up making my plaques and things made to order on ebay and etsy and decided that I wanted to get my crafts back as more of a hobby and more enjoyable when I do have some spare time. I felt like I was working to much to deadlines and the fun and relaxation of crafting had just gone. Unfortunately I have been unwell with my chest this past week and have spent some time in hospital. Well I thought that as I am resting up at the minute I would do a spot of colouring/crafting. I have had loads of digital images in a box printed and waiting for colouring so they were ready to hand which was very convenient. I set myself up in front of the tv, with my tray and Spectrum Noir Pencils, feet up and set off colouring a range of images. Once I had coloured a few and felt in the mood, I dec...

Update and a few makes

Hi all. Well I've been absent again. I've had a hospital admission and then been resting up. I've been doing a bit of creating but just forgot to blog.  Firstly I've made a couple of cards this past week. Both wonderful Teddy Bo cards coloured with my spectrum noir pens and pencils (on the second one).  This card was for my parents 40th wedding anniversary.  Then this one was for my stash of cards.  I have also been busy with Jewel Enamel again.  Here are the pendants I have created.  And this is what I have done with them so far whilst sitting with my feet up.  A bit of wire wrapping on the first couple.  Added a simple chain to a few.  A filled bezel and chain on these ones.  I have created some beads with the coiling gizmo for this one. I just love the pattern created on the pendant on this one though.  I have created a chain with eye pins a...
