Just Inspirational Challenges - Sketch Challenge 1

Wow I'm so excited. That time has come for our first challenge over on Just Inspirational Challenges. This weeks challenge involves using the following sketch along with a theme of Love e.g. a Wedding, anniversary or card for a loved one. The design team have pulled out all the stops this time and created some wonderful cards!!! Here's the sketch: Here is my card. I made this for a dear colleagues 25th Wedding Anniversary. I was delighted with how it has turned out and she loved it too which is even better. The backing papers are from my Barely Mine Design Extreme CD. I have used 3 different designs, all colour coordinating. I then stamped and coloured my magnolia images using copics. I cut a circle matt using my cuttlebug and nesties for the Chocolate Heart Box. The Longing Tilda stamp was then placed as if she is resting on the box. I have added silver glitter detail to the bow and a silver 25 peel off too. I added some stickles glitter to the 'chocolates'

It was for a magnolia challenge and I used their sketch but somehow I think I have missed the deadline - do you? lol. The above picture is the front of the card. I have distressed all of the edges of the papers with a gold ink pad. The flowers I have made myself using my scalloped nesties and beads.   I coloured my image using copics and I must say I am happy with how it has turned out. I have added some stickles details to the image too.   This is the inside of the easel card. I have followed the sketch design here too. This was the box for the card with the same sketch layout followed too. These were some earings I made for her too. With a  co-ordinating box. Close up of earings. She loved them too.

It's a Crafter's Companion Challenge 9 - Monotone

This is my DT card I have made for this weeks challenge over on it's a crafter's companion challenge blog. I used the new  Chole Patchwork Polly stamp plate and have coloured it in the black and white monotone. It is just a very quick card as I remembered at 23.30 on Friday night I hadn't made my card for this week's challenge and I was leaving for the airport at 01.45 staurday morning. Therefore a super quick card. Why not pop over to the blog and check out the other dt cards. Hope you have a great week. I sure hope I do in Portugal!!! Hugs Rachel xx

Singer 21st Birthday

This card is for another order request. The recipient is turning 21 and is a singer. I found this image on photobucket and thought it was perfect as it is very girly but not too young. I have used coordinating purple pearl and silver holographic cards for the based card and matts. The papers are from either pink petticoat or funky fairy can't remember which. The ribbon and sentiment peel off are from my stash. I have added some stickles glitter as highlights. The 2 and 1 are printed from a Crafter's Companion CD and I have matted these onto silver holographic card cut with my nestabilities and cuttlebug. I love how this card turned out. Rachel xx

Peppa Pig 2nd Birthday

This card was for another regular customer. Her Granddaughter was turning two and she loves pepper pig. I obtained this backing paper and decoupage image and this is what I came up with. I am not overall happy with the card I wish I had put some sort of border on now when I look at it again.

Beatrix Potter Tom Kitten Card

This card I have made using the Crafter's Companion Tom Kitten CD. The backing papers and borders were printed onto pearl card and the decoupage topper glossy photo paper. I have used a white pearl card for the base and silver holographic card for the matts. The buttons are from my stash and I have added some ribbon to these from my stash too. Sorry the photo isn't the best but the holographic card and photo paper were causing alot of reflection. Hugs Rachel xx

Sepia 90th Birthday Nanna

This one I was asked to make again for a regular customer. He supplied me with the sepia coloured photos and asked me to include the 4 photos on a sepia themed card. I used brown matts and coordinating papers, buttons and ribbon to fit the theme. The sentiment again printed on my PC with the customers own wording. The finished card is 8x8" in size.

Union Jack Money Wallet

This is a money wallet which I have made for a customer to send some Euro's in.  He requested a picture of the Union Jack. Simple but does the job.
