A few firsts

Hi all sorry I haven’t been blogging again lately. I have been busy in the world of crafting though making lots of cards and Jewellery etc for orders and my charity stall. You can find some of the things I have been making the past month on my Facebook Page.

Today I would like to share with you a card I have been making yesterday and this morning.

The post title is called ‘a few firsts’ this is because I have used a few items for the first time on this card.

The first ‘first’ is I have coloured this beautiful digi-stamp from Sherri Baldy. It’s the first of her digi-stamps I have colured and I am pleased with the result. I just love these big eye characters.

Of course I have used my Spectrum Noir Pens to colour the image.

The Colours I used are:

FS2, FS6, TN2, PP2, PP3, PP4, PP5, IB1, IB2, IB3, IG1, IG2, IG3, IG6 and the Blender Pen.

Here’s the full card. I’m loving how it has turned out.

Craft Project 1

Right then for the second ‘first’ I have used the Joy Winter Wishes Border and larger snowflake (2020) dies along with  Dee’s Distinctively Snow Covered Stacker Tree Die.

Now the third ‘first’ is that I have used Fran-tage by Stampendous for the first time. I’ve got to say I think I can see myself getting addicted to this!! I just love the effect it has. I have used it on the die cuts as well as adding details to the topper and metal corner embelishments.

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was loo...
