Candle Making Fun!!

Hi Today (well actually it was yesterday as it's now after midnight) I have been decorating some candles with various images which I printed onto tissue paper and then melted these onto the candle.  I have also decorated these with stickles and ribbon. These are for a stall we are having in the morning at Wansbeck Hospital raising funds for the Special Care Baby Unit.

Here's the first ones, I have used my Forever Friends CD from DoCrafts for these images.

These next Candles I have used the Flower Fairies Christmas Tree and Holly CD from Crafter's Companion.

These images are from the Rachael Hale CD Furry Friends by Joanna Sheen

The next four are from Debbi Moore's Glitter and Glitz  Magical CD

These images are from Crafter's Companion Walking in the Air Snowman CD

Random images from My Craft Studio CD's

Tatty Teddy Everyday CD from DoCrafts

Hope you like my candles, sorry some of the photos aren't the best as I had already cello wrapped some of the candles and the light was reflecting from the flash, as well as being artificial lighting in the room.

If anyone would like to purchase any candles please don't hesitate to contact me with any requirements you may have. All candles can be personalised as required.

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was loo...
