A few more of my recent makes

Hi all

I'm back today to share a few more recent makes. I love crafting and creating. I find it very relaxing. I've not been well lately as you may know so haven't been very energetic. When I've been feeling upto it I've spent a little bit of time in my craft room. I've got a few simple cards to share with you and also a wall hanging.

Here goes with the cards

Don't you just love Hunkydory products. I do I have loads and love how they can make simple but effective cards.

Here's another Hunkydory card

This one is made with a Hobby House image and the papers are from a First Edition Paper Pad

House Mouse decoupage this time. I sat one night in front of the TV and had some crafty cutting and cut out a couple of toppers that I've used on these two cards. The first card I used papers from a First Edition Paper Pad and the second the papers were from a Lili of the Valley Paper Pad. I've added gems and ribbon from my stash.

Right now for the wall hanging

I made the panels in a Sheena Douglass Workshop last December. We used dies and stamps from the Time Traveler Collection. The background of the boards were first decorated with die cuts and texture paste, and then painted white with gesso. Then we added some colour using aqua tints and clear sparkle pens and finally some gilding wax. Then additional die cut elements cut out of black card stock, distressed again with gilding wax were added.

I hadn't totally decided what I was going to do with the panels so left them safe in my completed projects stash. I totally forgot about them and when I was moving craft rooms I came across them again. Well at the weekend I decided that I wanted to make them into a long hanging wall art. I attached black ribbon to the back and encased this in with some black card stock.

Here are some closer photos of each panel.

On this panel the dragonfly and propeller flower has also been distressed using Pebeo Gedeo Patine Vert de Gris. It gives a lovely effect.

 Well that's it for now.

As always thank you for popping by.

Love and Hugs

In the Night Garden

This card is for an order I have been given. The lady wanted a card with an In the Night Garden theme and Igglepiggle for her Grandson. I found images on the internet and decoupaged the bottom pannel and added peel offs to this. Igglepiggle has been mounted onto white card which I have embossed using my dotty folder in my cuttlebug and then matted this onto co-ordinating blue card stock. The base card was from my cardstock stash which I have made a 21cm square card with. I then added peel off stars to finish the card off. Thanks for looking Hugs Rachel

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin
