OMG!! And the start of Christmas card making!!

Hi all well I've definitely been a naughty blogger this year. My aim at the beginning of the year was to blog more. Has that happened? Well I think we all know the answer to that one is a definite no!! 22nd February since my last blog and were now 22nd August. A full six months has past without a single blog. That just won't do!!!

Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better! Must try better!

Well to get the ball rolling I'm starting making my Christmas cards. Here's a quick one I made yesterday with my lili of the valley art pad and paper pad. I have used distress ink to give that more vintage look.

The base card is made using my new crafts too side stepper die. I just love how quick it is to use!!

Well I have a bit of crafty time this morning and this evening so my aim is to make at least 3 Christmas cards. Wish me good luck.

Take care all and happy crafting

Rachel xx

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was loo...
