Crafters Companion Sketch's

Sketch 1

This is the first card from the sketch challenges on crafters comapanion. On the forum there are weekly sketches which illistrate a layout and we design a card from this. The papers used here are from the crafters companion floral cd.

Sketch 2

The second week's card. This one is made using various embelishments, sticky ribbon, peel offs and the main circle was embossed with the cuttlebug.

Sketch 3

Again the panels are embossed using the cuttle bug. I stamped an image of a dog and coloured using sakura pens and coloured pencils. The ribbon is a piece of sticky ribbon, I then added finishing touches with the cute embelishment and stamped a happy birthday sentiment.

Sketch Card 4
With this card I decided to make an a4 card and used an image from the triple treasure cd rom and matted this onto a cuttlebug embossed pannel of white card. This was finished off with a piece of sticky ribbon and some silver peel off's. This is my for my Father.

Sketch Card 5
Again for the backing paper I have used the Triple Treasures cd rom. The added 3 panels of card embossed in the cuttlebug and the finished off with some letters cut using a cuttle kids alphabet die and then some silver peels offs.

Sketch Card 6
This again is paper from the Tripple Treasures cd rom. To this I have added 3 panels of star holographic card and then some silver peel offs.

Sketch card 7
This is a simple card. I used 3 white circles. Cut some flowers using the cuttlebug and the matted these together placing a gem in the centre of the flower. I placed one of these on a length of sticky ribbon. I feel this is a simple but effective card.

Sketch Card 8
This is the last one of the challenge cards so far.
I really like this one. Again I have used the triple treasures cd for the backing paper. Place a piece of silver holographic card accross the full card and the matted a cuttlebug embossed piece of white card and added and embelishment. I have then added some gems to finish the design off.
Well hopefull each week once I have done the sketch card I will add the finished card to my blog. Thanks again for looking and hope I have given you some inspiration.

Vintage Floral Butterfly Tree Canvas

Hi all This is a Canvas I have created. I've been working on it over a few weeks now. I initially decorated the base of the canvas with various papers, inks, paints, texture paste and script stamps; and painted the tree but was then stuck on what to add to it. I left it for a while whilst I came up with what I wanted to do. Then I decided I wanted some bigger flowers, and found some Prima flowers and added some additional mixed media elements and smaller flowers I already had in my stash. Along with glitters and diamante embellishments. I also die cut a fancy flourish for the corner (not that you can see much of it, oops) and a quote. I did two layers for the die cuts and glued them together so that they were thicker. Well here's a picture of it   I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out.  This is a video which shows some of the elements in more detail. You can even see the glitter sparkling. (Sorry it's a bit shaky I used my phone. It'...
