Art Deco 60th Birthday Card, envelobox and Gift Box

Hi all here's my creation from last week. It was my Mam's 60th Birthday on friday so wanted to make something special for her. She loves the Debbi Moore art deco cd's so I decided to use the Art Deco Galaxy CD Rom which is in collaboration with the Glitter Girls. I love the way this set has worked out.

The card stands open and all panels are displayed. I have used A4 pearl card and created 2 pieces with tri folds I mounted another piece of card to the centre section to mount these together. My Mam's birth stone is Garnet and her deco in her room is Burgandy so I chose the burgandy colour scheme for her card.

I have made each end panel section symetrical. The chocolate box ribbon detail I found a tutorial on Facebook on the I'm a Crafter's Companion Group by (Will add name later as using my mobile broadband and facebook wont load). I just love this detail. I decided to add a buckle slider to give a sparkle effect.

For the center panel I have embossed a frame using the Galaxy board by the Glitter Girls and have added peel off details. Onto this I have matted one of the images from the cd with foam pads. I have added a peel of greeting to this.

I have altered a couple of chipboard numbers by spraying with stick and spray and adding glitter, I then sprayed this with spray and shine to seal the glitter. I mounted these onto the card with some pinflare glue gel.

This is the envelobox I created to match the card.

A close up of the flowers which I have sprayed with Gold Spray and Sparkle.

This was a purfume set I got from my husband for Christmas and thought it would be ideal to alter the box to gift wrap my Mam's Kindle I got for her present. I coloured the silver edges with my spectrum noir pens (If you look you will see I had already started and then remembered I hadn't taken the photo).

I added the same papers mounted onto gold mirror card. The corners and centre embossing has been done again on the Galaxy board and have mounted some pyrimage onto this.

Again I added a chocolate box ribbon to the side.

I added a couple of feathers and some flowers to finish of the box along with a spritz of gold spray and sparkle.

My mam was over the moon with her card and has been showing everyone it. She loved her Kindle too.

Thanks for stopping by hugs
Rachel

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel
