Tonight’s Beatrix Potter POTD Sneak Peaks

Hi all well you may have noticed that there’s a POTD over on Ideal World Starting tonight at 9pm. Well the wonderful Crafter’s Companion have got yet another brilliant launch.

It’s Beatrix Potter, this time and Crafter’s Companion have teamed up with Hunkydory to bring us all 2 fab kits:

An everyday kit and a Winter Kit

I was lucky to to have the winter kit to work with and these are a few of the samples I have created with it.

Firstly there are some fab new 3d Trees:

This one I have made up as it comes and then added some embellishments.

This next one I have made into a topper on an A4 card

I have used one of the backing cards and added a few of the additional items from the kit.

I then printed some papers and a note paper from the Winter Tale CD and decorated the inside of the card

This next card I have made into a side stepper

I again used one of the A4 card bases and added several pieces from the kit as well as some gems and a spellbinders fancy frame for the sentiment.

Finally I am going to share with you one of the Frame cards:

These are so easy to make but also very effective too.

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was loo...

Make mine a double

This is the card I have made for two challenges. Penny Black Challenge 10 - Ribbons ABC - E for Embelishments I have used a Penny Black stamped image and coloured with pencils. The paper is from Scrapbookingmad's Shabby Rose Cd. The flower embelishments are from Prima, ribbon from dovecrafts and sentiment embelishment from Papermania. Thanks for looking Rachel xxx
