Toread Sneak Peak Number 1and blog hop

Hi all

Welcome to the Crafter’s Companion blog hop to celebrate the launch of the Toread papercrafting range! You could win the new Toread CD-ROM, simply by hopping around the Design Team's blogs and being inspired! Pop over to the Crafter's Companion News blog for the full list of Design Team members who are taking part.

The Design team have loved crafting with the new range – “I personally love working with it as the characters are so cute!!! The cd is packed full of goodies to create with and you just don’t know where to start to be honest.” So we're celebrating the launch of this gorgeous new collection on Friday 28th September by giving you a chance to see some sneak peeks and have the chance to win a great prize!

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is visit each of the Design Team members blogs. They will each be showing you some of their fabulous Toread creations. Once you've been inspired, simply head back over to the Crafter's Companion News blog and leave a comment on their blog hop post, saying which is your favourite Toread character and why.

One winner will be drawn at random after 10am on Friday 28th September, and will be notified by email.

I have used one of the rocker card elements on the cd to create this keepsake. However as you can see I have used it as a topper instead. I had this idea when strolling through my local ASDA store and saw the plate and just knew straight away that the Toread’s would make such a wonderful decorative aspect for a keepsake!!!

Plate

I have sprayed the plate with Pink Spray and Sparkle as well as the decoupage layer of Aurora. I  have used the Epiphany element of the cd too to create a detailed element to my bow. The crystal gems are from my stash and I think they just set off the plate.

I hope you like the range as much as I do and tune in to watch the POTW launch on Create and Craft on the 28th!!!

That’s it for now but thanks for popping over.

Good luck and happy hopping!

Hi all I'm back again I've made my first card with the collection from Crafter's Companion designed by Stacey Barras. I have coloured the image using sparkle pens and added extra details with a white gel pen, glitter and gems. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out. Vintage Floral Butterfly Tree Canvas

Hi all This is a Canvas I have created. I've been working on it over a few weeks now. I initially decorated the base of the canvas with various papers, inks, paints, texture paste and script stamps; and painted the tree but was then stuck on what to add to it. I left it for a while whilst I came up with what I wanted to do. Then I decided I wanted some bigger flowers, and found some Prima flowers and added some additional mixed media elements and smaller flowers I already had in my stash. Along with glitters and diamante embellishments. I also die cut a fancy flourish for the corner (not that you can see much of it, oops) and a quote. I did two layers for the die cuts and glued them together so that they were thicker. Well here's a picture of it   I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out.  This is a video which shows some of the elements in more detail. You can even see the glitter sparkling. (Sorry it's a bit shaky I used my phone. It'...
