Crafter’s Companion Monthy Challenge–Gold

Hi all well the theme for the Crafter’s Companion Monthly Challenge is Gold. Inspired by our success at the Olympics this year.
This is the card I made for the challenge. It’s a gold and red card as you can see.

I have used one of the lovely new Christmas Strawberry Kisses Stamps. Isn’t that cat just so adorable!!!
I have stamped onto Neenah Card Stock and coloured using my Spectrum Noir Pens.
The Poinsettia dies and scalloped shapes are from Marianne and I have used distress inks to highlight the detailing of the embossing. I also used the same distress ink on the lace so it would tie in with the card theme.
I have used my Woodware Border punch to create the border strip and I have monted this onto gold mirror card and added two different ribbons for detail.
The backing paper on the card is from the SWALK winter collection CD. The corner plates are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenges -  things that make you go awwww
The Paper Shelter – Punch it

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. Don’t forget to hop over to the Crafter’s Companion Monthly Challenge blog to check out everyone else’s cards and enter yourself.
Hugs and happy crafting
Rachel

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel
