A Special Paintbox Poppets Thank You

Hi again

I’m trying to get caught up showcasing the cards etc I have been making this past week and not blogged yet, hence the multiple posts in one night.

Right then for this post I have a couple of cards and a bracelet I made to say Thank You to some special people who have helped me these past few weeks.

Both have been made using the Paintbox Poppets Range from Crafter’s Companion.

Here’s the first card

017

It’s and 8x8 card base made using 16x16 Snow White Centura Pearl Cardstock from Crafter’s Companion. I then matted some backing paper from the Paintbox Poppets CD onto some gold mirror card. I have embossed some snow white centural pearl card with the a4 embossing folder which comes with the eBosser. I then chose one of my favourite images from the Diecut Decoupage pack and built up using collall glue gel. Finally I have cut and embossed some embelishments and added some floral and ribbon details.

The next card is of similar nature to the above using the elements from the cd and decoupage kit.

013

Just look at the impression on that little girls face when  reading her book to her teddies. How adorable!!!

I also made this bracelet to give to a special lady along with the second card.

033

I just love making these right angle weave bracelets. This time I have used 6mm crystals, 4mm pearls and AB silver lined size 11 seed beads.

The recipient loved it along with her card.

Thanks for popping by again.

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel
