Crafter’s Companion February Challenge Card

Hi all

Hope you are well.

I’m here today to share with you my DT card for the Crafter’s Companion Monthly Challenge Blog

002

This card is for my husband for Valentines Day today.

I have used the Everyday in Mulberry Wood CD from Crafter’s Companion for the topper, paper and insert. I have printed the topper onto watercolour cardstock and the papers onto satin finish printable paper.

I have also used one of the new Darice folders which were released on Create and Craft yesterday. This one is the Lips folder. I have embossed red cardstock and then added some gold ink to each of the lips.

I have made a chocolate box ribbon and gems for details.

Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to check out the challenge blog for your chance to win a £30 voucher to spend on the Crafter’s Companion website.

So what you waiting for? Go check it out.

Thanks for stopping by

I have coloured the image using sparkle pens and added extra details with a white gel pen, glitter and gems. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out. That's it for this evening.  Hopefully will be back tomorrow to share something else with you. Thanks for popping by Hugs

Vintage Floral Butterfly Tree Canvas

Hi all This is a Canvas I have created. I've been working on it over a few weeks now. I initially decorated the base of the canvas with various papers, inks, paints, texture paste and script stamps; and painted the tree but was then stuck on what to add to it. I left it for a while whilst I came up with what I wanted to do. Then I decided I wanted some bigger flowers, and found some Prima flowers and added some additional mixed media elements and smaller flowers I already had in my stash. Along with glitters and diamante embellishments. I also die cut a fancy flourish for the corner (not that you can see much of it, oops) and a quote. I did two layers for the die cuts and glued them together so that they were thicker. Well here's a picture of it   I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out.  This is a video which shows some of the elements in more detail. You can even see the glitter sparkling. (Sorry it's a bit shaky I used my phone. It'...
