A few pieces of Jewellery I have made

Hi all I just wanted to share with you a few pieces of jewellery I have made recently and some not so recent. I have been a naughty blogger and not shared them with you but I am now.

The first one is a peanut spiral.

026

This is made using peanut beads, size 8 seed beads and Accent beads. I have used fireline 8lb crystal as my stringing medium and finished with a bar clasp. This is so quick to make and so effective.

The next is a pearly spiral. I must admit I made this all the way back in November!!! How naughty.

023

This is made using size 11 seed beads, 4mm crystals and pearls. Again I have used fireline 8lb but in smoke this time. I have used wire protectors and a fancy bar clasp to finish.

This next one is a variation of the pearly spiral however I have used 4mm cube beads instead of the pearls and crystals and size 9 seed beads.

024

It’s amazing the different look by just changing the beads.

This next one is a herringbone spiral.

 029

It’s made using size 9 seed beads and size 8’s. It is a little bit time consuming to make it but so effective!!

Next I have made a Cellini spiral necklace to match one of my favourite Joe Brown Tunic tops.

014

I just love this necklace it is fantastic. Looks really good with my top too. I wouldn’t like to think how many beads has gone into this but I do know that for the crystals alone it took 3.5 pots and there’s 100 in a pot!! I have used 4mm crystals, 4mm cubes, size 9, 8, and 11 seed beads. In total there are 8 different beads. I have finished this with a very nice copper clasp and bead cones.

I have a few bracelets for you now. The first being a heart embellished bracelet.

032

As you can see both sides of this bracelet look nice. This was made using 4mm crystals, delicas and size 15 seed beads and one 6mm pearl.

Next I have a few cube bracelets for you.

051

I just love making these. Changing the colours of beads can give a totally different effect. They are made with 4mm cubes, size 8 and 11 seed beads, spacer disks and one has 4mm silver pearls.

Next is a very sparkly bracelet. A Shamballa which are very fashionable at the minute.

053

I have made quite a few of these as gifts and to sell but haven’t taken any photos.

This next one is a memory wire bracelet.

001

It is made with 4mm crystals, haematite beads and metal spacers.

Most of the beads etcs I have used to make my creations have been purchased from my local craft shop Rosarama Beadcraft  I just love the range of beads they have and the quality is second to none.

Well that’s it for now. I promise in the year 2013 to be a better blogger and share with you my crafty creations as completed.

Hugs Rachel

Mixed media clock

Hi all I'm back today to share a clock I've made.  I started it yesterday evening by adding the texture building stages using white crackle texture paste drying after. Then used various stencils and embossing paste. I dried this and then added a coat of black gesso and left it to dry over night.  This morning I added some colour onto it using Pebeo Dyna paints. I added die cut numbers cut out of silver mirror card. However I wasn't happy with it as it was too dark for what I wanted it for and thought the silver numbers didn't go with it. So I sat back and looked at it and decided I wanted it lighter.  Well no loss as out came my heavy white gesso and I gave it a good coating. Before adding the white gesso I sanded the numbers slightly so that the paint could adhere better and this also gave extra texture. I dried this off and added the Dyna paints again and some Art Alchemy Opal Magic in Rose Gold.  Well I felt much happier with how it was lookin

Birthday Card Trio

Hello all, I'm back again with another post for you. This time I've got three cards to show you.  These are all made with products from Crafter's Companion. The 1st is another dragon card made using one of the Lee Holland Dragon stamps. I love these little characters :) I've had coloured this using spectrum noir colour blend pencils. I just love how much of a fun looking card you can make with these stamps.    Next is a card made using a unicorn stamp. This has also been hand coloured with pencils. I've also used some backing papers and matt mirror and glitter card from Sara's Enchanted forest collection. Finally I've made a card using my Crafter's Companion BeBunni CD. It's a while since I've used this cd but I forgot how cute these little bunnies are.   All of the cards have been personalised with die cut numbers and letters for the names. Hope to see you all again soon. Rachel
